The cover story of the February 28 – March 6, 2011 issuer of Bloomberg Businessweek poses a very provocative question, “Would you invest in a company that lost $2 trillion last year and has a net worth of negative $44 trillion?”  The company they are speaking of?–The United States of America.  The author, Mary Meeker claims that if the U.S. were a corporation it would be sick–but fixable.  I strongly encourage you to read this article and view the accompanying slides to gain a better understanding of why our fiscal house is out of order and what we need to do (now) to fix it.  To view the entire article online, please click the photo to the left.
